Horror

Enter a realm where nightmares walk fearlessly and things go bump in the night. Horror is a genre dedicated to people who love being scared to death. It offers us a compelling glimpse of the dark things rarely seen and therefore fascinating. One of my first story sales was "Hatred Is Not A Family Value" to the anthology Abrupt Darkness -- a story which, although it contains no classic monsters such as vampires or werewolves, does contain a genuine monster and was written with intent to horrify. While I am not an avid fan of horror in general, my work as a reviewer has introduced me to enough spectacular fiction that I no longer say I don't like horror. I'm just kind of picky about the type I read. It has been a journey worth taking.
